Some of you may be opposed to eating shark fins... I don't really care one way or the other. But in my opinion the nicest shark fins can be found at Lei Garden Restaurant. The flavour is really from the chicken soup rather than the fins. I like the cheaper $68 (sometmes $58 offer) version which could possibly serve 3 persons rather than the "bacon" double-boiled version at $48 per person.
And since we are talking about Lei Garden. I do like the food there, although I found the Abalone dishes not consistent. Eg. I had it once and loved it, and subsequently, I tried another time and was disappointed. And at the "high-end" price-point, I won't be trying any more abalone from Lei Garden for a while.

they dont need the fin .... adds no flavour as u noted ... meanwhile shark numbers are being depleted .... its causing major negative knock-on effects throughout oceans .... its madness ... plus sharks are so beautiful ... this is another example of greedy thoughtless selfish behaviour by humans!!! a few years and there'll be no fin soup and no incredible ocean life to visit!!!
If only we can find the best recipe for the chicken soup and replace the shark's fin with something tastier like maybe chicken or bacon? haha
